Refund policy

This policy applies to all subscriptions, business listings, promotional placements, and digital services provided by This is Cheshire, a trading name of This is Directories Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).

As our Services are digital and/or service-based, there are no physical products, returns, or exchanges.

1. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND DIGITAL SERVICES

Some Services are provided on a subscription basis, including but not limited to business listings, featured placements, and promotional services.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to recurring billing at the interval selected at checkout (e.g. monthly or annually).

Subscriptions will automatically renew unless cancelled in accordance with this policy.

You may cancel your subscription at any time via:

  • your account dashboard, or
  • the cancellation link provided in your order confirmation email, or
  • by contacting us at hello@this-is-cheshire.co.uk

2. CANCELLATION

You may cancel a subscription at any time.

Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period unless otherwise stated at the point of purchase.

Once cancelled, your listing or service will remain active until the end of the paid period, after which it will be removed or deactivated.

3. REFUNDS POLICY

As our Services are digital and begin immediately upon purchase, we do not offer refunds for:

  • subscription payments
  • digital listings
  • promotional placements
  • partially used billing periods
  • unused time remaining on a subscription

This includes situations where a service has already been activated, published, or made live.

Refunds may only be issued where:

  • required by applicable UK law, or
  • in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion

4. LISTING AND SERVICE DELIVERY

Business listings and promotional placements are typically activated shortly after purchase or approval.

We reserve the right to:

  • review and approve all listings before publication
  • edit content for formatting, clarity, or compliance
  • refuse or remove listings that breach our guidelines or Terms

We do not guarantee:

  • business performance
  • enquiries
  • visibility levels
  • search rankings or placement positions (unless explicitly stated in a paid feature)

5. CHANGES TO SUBSCRIPTIONS OR SERVICES

We may update, improve, or modify:

  • listing formats
  • categories
  • design or layout
  • platform features
  • promotional structures

These changes will not affect your billing unless we notify you of a material change to your subscription.

6. TECHNICAL ISSUES OR ERRORS
